Riley | 28 | He/Him | Licensed cosmetologist based in Philadelphia, PA
Hey there! I’m Riley. I am an openly transgender person who believes in building a safe and inclusive community. I strongly believe that every person deserves to feel like their truest, most beautiful self. I treat every person who sits in my chair with respect. It is important to help guests with thorough consultations, to gather all information of what that person truly needs and wants. Helping break the barriers of what people typically perceive as beauty through makeup and bright hair colors is my specialty. Makeup is for everyone! Gender non-conformity is art.
In my spare time I love to garden and paint. I’m always looking for new music to listen to. I also love to cook! I live in Philadelphia with my partner and our two cats.
Thank you for reading, and please take a look at my work under the “Portfolio” tab up top! xo

Freelancing
Growing up in a small town, I first gained experience freelancing simple and basic services such as haircutting, prom/wedding/formal makeup and styling, local dance and theater productions, etc. With this background as well as formal training, I have been able to help stores such as Terrain at Styer’s with private events that highlighted their health & beauty products sold in store. These events consisted of facials and light massage therapy. I have had personal training in product information with brand ambassadors from companies such as OSEA Malibu and Kindred Skincare. I have also worked one-on-one with the owner of Kindred Skincare, Frances Thrasher, with private events highlighting her products. I have helped people of all backgrounds, whether they wanted a “haircut that looks like my hair wasn’t cut” or a drastic change in color and style. I also have experience working with people with special needs such as sensory and auditory sensitivity, helping them feel safe and comfortable while getting a service done.
